difference between Acewell 3912/3913 and 3963

Postby jeff on Mon Aug 11, 2008 11:49 am

The Acewell 3913 is not available in Australia as we deemed that it was too similar to the Acewell 3853 and Acewell 3963.

The ACE-3913 is actually from the ACE-38xx range. It has the same blue backlight LCD and the bar tachometer is fixed at 11,000rpm. The ACE-3853 is the same as the 3913 but the 3853 has a fuel gauge instead of the temperature gauge.

If you want a temperature gauge, then look at the ACE-3963. It has all the same features as the 3913 and also has a fuel gauge. It also has has more compatibility with fuel senders, being able to accept 100ohm, 250 ohm, and 510 ohm signals, whereas the ACE37xx/38xx/391x range can only accept 250 ohm signals. Two other key differences are that the 3963 has a white backlight instead of blue, and has a selectable Bar Tacho range of 8,000rpm or 16,000rpm. Another difference is that the speedo in the the ACE37xx/38xx/391x reads up to 300km/h, whereas the 396x range can read up to 400km/h, for those of you who can go that fast!

Thanks, I went with the 3963, so I'll be installing it over the next couple of days hopefully.
